Travel Risk Maps

The level of insecurity in Nigeria is multifaceted as such cannot accurately categorize the patterns of insecurity. It continues to haunt all inhabitants of Nigeria as it is already fast dawning on them that the government cannot guarantee the security of lives and properties. It is a known fact that insecurity is detrimental to the general well being of the people with its resultant effects in the area of low life expectancy, low quality of life and even death.
The high level of insecurity has negatively impacted the nation’s economy. It has led to the destruction of business properties and equipment, relocation and closing down of businesses. When people’s security is guaranteed, it gives them the freedom, physically and mentally to get on with the business of building their lives without fear of molestation, kidnap or violent death. The Travel Risk Map 2021 helps you plan more secure travel for yourself and any employee by anticipating potential risks.
The risk ratings on a travel risk map are determined by some factors:
GUARDED (Quetzel Green): The state can be travelled to without restrictions/constraints and travellers face very few special risks. Also, normal precautions must be done during travelling
ELEVATED (Solar Yellow): Travellers face increased risks but there is a little need to take precautions when travelling to the state. The security could be tensed due to widespread violent crime.
MEDIUM (Electron Gold): Journey management and travel security are advised. Travellers face high levels of risk and should expect restrictions in the state.
HIGH RISK (Mars Red): Drilled Travel security and essential business travel only. Special security precautions are often necessary.
EXTREME (Dark Red): Travel is not Advisable. Security forces and rescue services are rarely available, Government has little or no control over this area.k
