Ondo – Akure Explosion along Owo Road
The explosion shook Akure overnight, demolished houses including church, building, Ogbese fuel station and divided the road leading to Owo into 2 along the church axis.
Two observations about this disaster (An Asteroid or a truck conveying explosives)
1. It was an asteroid, NASA warned about asteroid earlier, It sinks into the ground. They stated that a fragment of it can end civilization when it hits the earth. an observer actually thought the building beside his house has collapsed when this “thing” passed his roof earlier this morning, it forcefully opened the door he just closed.
it sank at eleyewo near possibility church and the after effect was just as the googled image of asteroid effect.
2. An observer also learned that an unknown truck conveying explosives caught fire around 1:00 am at Akure’s airport junction location. and the vehicle is buried in the sand.
Addressing journalists at the scene of the incident, Undie Adie, Ondo police commissioner, said the explosives were properly escorted by police department men, but the vehicle carrying the objects developed a fault.
He said they found smoke coming out of the vehicle’s engine, resulting in a fire set off the explosives.
TheCable learned to run away from the scene when the fire becomes uncontrollable.
State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu also visited the explosion spot.
“I was informed by security chiefs that in the early hours of Saturday, March 28th, a vehicle in a convoy carrying explosives to a storage facility in a neighboring state formed a fault while moving along Akure Owo Road about 2 km from Akure Airport,” he said, addressing journalists.
“Efforts are being made to determine if there are casualties. During my visit to the scene, I ordered that the area be cordoned off to allow the department/bomb squad to retrieve the vehicle buried underground as it is uncertain if there are still explosives to be detonated. All is under control, and I’ll brief the public on any new developments.
